It is such a contradicting thing when G is trying to promote babies.. Wanting singaporean to start up their own family, own their house and more babies when they actually mark up the price of the house to so damn expensive..

currently houses, i mean HDB houses are selling at 200++ thousands and for those 4 room flat can cost you up to 300k..depending on the level you stay and the location.
even we do not have to pay cash anymore for the house, mainly using the CPF money..
i felt that it doesnt help much.. because for the first year you got to pay 5% of the house using your CPF $$ which is like about 15k.. so if your CPF does not have this amount then you cant get a house.
n now.. almost everyone have to study till a degree level which takes about a age of 22(minimum) to graduated n get a job.. den few years of work den will drives you to get 15k in you CPF. so say mayb you will takes you 2 years to get that amount in your CPF. den when you are at the age of 24, you are then knowledgeable to get a house. 3-4 years of waiting for a house that build from sketch.


which say you will get a house at the age of 28, but in that 4 years while waiting for your house to arrive. you got to save up money for the renovation that can cause you 20-30k plus your marriage stuff like the engagement that mayb say about 5-8k and for the dinner it cost you say about 20k too?

at this cost, think i can only marry in the age of 35.
currently i'm 23. probably another year of saving then back to school. which is 24. 3 years of study and i will reach 27. 4 years of waiting for the house to arrive.. 31. more saving for the engagement, dinner and renovation.. 35 liao..
some stuff can be done concurrently BUT.. do you, we have the money n time to do it concurrently.

no $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$....
